Where did the Doraemon Fish Cake Go?

We went to Segi Fresh grocery few months ago and luckily there was a free taste for one product together with the others, and its the Doraemon Fish Cake.   At first when the Promo GIrl or Sample lady offered it to us I was a bit hesitant to taste.  It looks good and smells good, but since she mentioned that is made of fish i had second thoughts.  I'm a bit sensitive to fish or anything fish flavoured because if there's a hint of stinky fishy flavour I will have a nausea filling or worst case will really throw-up.

But after my daughter tasted it, (act as my genie pig, lol) she mentioned that it tasted good and had another one.  In short I tasted it also and ended up buying two packs and bring it home.
The Doraemon Fish Cake is a good treat for snacks or afternoon meal.  If your already tired if eating the common thing for snacks or even breakfast you should try This.

But after we run out of supply we try to go back to the same grocery to purchase again.  But surprisingly we cannot find any.  We are thinking it taste good so they might have run out of supply since too many people are buying.

But again, after we come back for several weeks we still cannot find this same product.  Now why they promote this product if they are not going to supply on that particular grocery?  We tried to search this fish cake at Giant also but same results.  So where did the Doreamon Fish Cake go?
Anyway, if every you come across to see this product in the grocery it's a must try most especially for your kids.

Mua Chi from Restuarant 555

This is one snack you need to taste from hawkers, its called Mua Chi.  Its made from flour or glutinous rice flour cooked in boiling water then rolled on peanut powder and sometimes with  sesame.  Firs time we taste this local delicacy in Petaling Street also known as China town in Kuala Lumpur.

There's one famous old lady there that usually sells this staff, i forgot her name but you can easily find here right in the middly just opposite the vendor of Tau Fufa vendor.  If not she is just around there.

She have some variety of flavors, you should try all to know which one is your favorite.  The one in the picture from a different place but taste is very close.  The picture below is from Restaurant 555 located in Bukit Tinggi Area very near to Giant Supermarket.

Mua Chi

The owners of the shop are two old couples the first time I bought from them I had the hard time as the Old lady doesn't know how to speak English and my Bahasa Melayu is still very rusty and the worst thing is I don't know its name! hahaha Actually for my first time I ordered the wrong thing,  but after that lesson learned.  I try to tell the story of that one next time.

Anyway if you are in Malaysia or Singapore, try to find this on the side streets or from hawkers its a very nice treat, it almost the same with Philippines version of "Palitaw".

Do you like waffles?

This is one of my favorite breakfast, I can still remember when i was a kid my parents would make this during weekend for our breakfast.  Nothing fancy usually the ingredients are basic:

Maya pancake (i think 200 or 250 grams)
1 Egg
Melted Margarine (maybe 2 tbsp)
1 Glass of milk, this is from powdered milk Nido or Klim.. hahaha as during this time fresh milk is still expensive.

Mixed them together in a bowl then cook on a hot pan, with margarine as its oil.

After cooking, since we don't have maple syrup back then, we put more margarine and some sugar on top..
thats it! :)  yummy... was already happy during that time.

Anyway back to present , in one of our trips to Kuala Lumpur we had some snack in the food court of KLCC, and we found this wonderful waffle with fruits and ice cream!

This was a truely nice snack.  I wish I could post more pics but the some of our pictures is still in the other pc.  Hopefully I'll be able to upload it soon.

Do you like waffles also?
